Police in Fargo, North Dakota, arrested a homeless woman in a hatchet attack on her sleeping boyfriend - and she's beaming in her mugshot.
The startled man was seriously injured and his now presumably ex-girlfriend - Lena Deoliveira - has been charged with attempted murder, reports say.
Another man at the scene of Sept. 5's bloody assault said he heard a sound like “like splitting wood” and that Deoliveira was “out of it,” according to court documents.
She was arrested two days later in Minnesota.
